The things we have in common are far less than the things that we don’t, but it has always seemed to work for us. We both lean the same way politically, but me in a more moderate manner. We both love food, but he is a lot less willing to try new things (which is odd for me, the picky eater in every group). I love sports, him – not so much. I love technology, him – not so much. I love social events, social media, meeting new people, him – not so much. He loves knives and guns, me – not so much. While it seems we have little in common, I think it has made us much MORE compatible, because it makes us a more whole person together. We are a more well rounded couple because we have more than just a few things that interest us in our daily lives. We are in the process of working out the details of being in the same town long enough to make it official. Until then, I am doing my best to get to know my new hometown, a town 99 miles away from where I grew up, yet know nothing about.
